Featuring all-new FREE bonus content, including the Audi Sport quattro S1 E2, as well as our home made Highlands track! The perfect track doesn’t exist. That’s why we created one.

Introduced back in 1984, the Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 revolutionized rallying. Just like the other manufacturers, Audi used the lenient homologation requirements to create a new rally car. All the car maker needed for homologation was a production run of a mere 200 cars.
Blomqvist's spectacular, sideways driving style suited the Sport quattro perfectly. By flicking the tail out, the Swede overcame the natural understeer of the nose-heavy Audi. He won five of the twelve rounds and was crowned the 1984 World Champion. Mikkola and Roehrl also won a round, which was enough to clinch the constructor's trophy.

The perfect track doesn’t exist.
That’s why we created one.

Highlands - The original layout, 8152 meters long, filled with fast flowing path with curves and several jumps.

Highlands Long - An extension of the original layout, 12191 meters long and has all the characteristics of the original layout. This layout features some slower curves, a fast series of left and right turns, after a passage between rocks and the distinctive 3km long "Cabhag straight"

Highlands Drift - A configuration born to create long powerslides with supercars and hypercars. At 5167 meters long, this layout features long, flat and smooth curves, perfect for holding a constant power slide. The "tower lùb", guards the surroundings at the top of the hill.

Highlands Short - The shortest configuration, only 1714 meters, but based entirely inside the city. Incredibly intense and requires the concentration of a pro.

All four layouts share the same starting positions and pit lane, as well as the first corner and final 2 corners.

* Improved tyre wear and tyre graining algorithms taking more into account the load operation for each tyre.

Some words about audio driver swap: in the in-game audio app, there's a list of device drivers (if available) you can select. In order to switch speakers configuration properly, once selected the audio driver you need to exit game (come back to the launcher) and then start it again.

Update (e-sports e online)

Geral / VR e nauseas

Truques e dicas que espero serem uteis para quem tem OR, Vive ou ate trackIR (provavelmente).

- focar um ponto fixo imaginario ou no caso de jogos, um ponto fixo. (como fazem os bailarinos, patinadores e afins)
- sessoes curtas. O habito faz o monge e' bem verdade neste caso. Nos, sendo animais capazes de nos adaptarmos a quase tudo, tambem ganhamos tolerancia as coisas com o (ab)uso e resistencia a nausea tambem.

- Ao jogar em VR,  tendo em conta que as lentes basicamente so' permitem um "buraco" onde a visibilidade e' boa e manter o focus nesse buraco e usar a cabeca e nao os olhos para olhar para onde se vai.

- Olhar para o mais longe possivel ou em alternativa acima focar um objecto estatico e nao um ponto imaginario como truque dos dancarinos e afins (atraves do tal "buraco central" das lentes)

- configurar um FOV do equipamento maior (lentes mais perto dos olhos)

- sessoes curtas e graduais e evitar experiencias tipo montanha russa que ate para jogadores experientes parecem causar confusao. A mim afetam-me tanto como a montanha russa real e eu tenho a perfeita nocao de estar seguro, sentado e sem forcas G, mas o cerebro e' enganado na mesma... VR no seu melhor em imersao :D

- Performance. Jogar qq coisa que nao seja fluida ou com cortes constantes e acentuados de FPS e' para esquecer. Mais vale poupar e comprar um GPU de jeito (gtx980 minimo, diria eu) num I5. Isto e' tao importante que eu quando mudei para 3 ecras conseguia sentir nauseas na mesma. Nada abaixo do refresh rate dos monitores (ou 60FPS no caso mais comum). Mas se tiver que ser, que seja constante sem flutuacoes.

Infelizmente AA e supersampling/downsampling/rescaling e' essencial em VR por causa da qualidade e come muita performance, pelo que, e' dificil de abdicar... mas podemos sobreviver com graficos mais baixos aumentando estas opcoes em contrapartida. E' dificil arranjar um "sweet spot"

- nao comer muito antes de jogar nem estar a morrer de fome (especialmente a fome, no que me diz respeito :D)

----- Configurar os jogos corretamente e esta requer mais algum detalhe.

- desligar o volante e os bracos do piloto virtual (mas tentem ligar ou desliguem no fim caso tudo o resto nao ajude o suficiente porque se perde um bocado). Em alternativa, fazer o lock ao volante.

- Fazer o lock do carro em relacao ao horizonte (AC) ou por o "world movement" a 0 (pCARS) ou configurar o headshake (se bem me lembro) atraves das teclas configuraveis nas opcoes do R3E

- Desligar/por a 0 (zero) "speed shakes" (pCARS) e movimentos de forcas G (AC e pCARS, pelo menos)

Acho que e' tudo para ja'...

Esquecia-me do mais importante. Assim que se comecarem a sentir ligeiramente mal PAREM DE JOGAR.

Nao procurei threads, portanto, se ja' houver uma "ajuntem-nas" :)

Pessoal, eu ando off ha tempo a mais e em 2017 quero voltar (nao vai ser em janeiro mas depois disso... quem sabe).

De qualquer maneira, boas festas a todos, que tenham muito bacalhau e ainda mais vinho na mesa :D

Ficam tambem ja' aqui os meus desejos de um optimo 2017. Va', que nao seja pior que 2016 ja' seria bom, digo eu.

Abrac,os e espero encontrar-vos novamente em breve, de preferencia em pista, mas se tiver que ser para uma jola ou duas tb nao me desagrada :)
