BeamNG released a free Tech demo called Drive. They have been working on what some called the Most Impressive Physics Engine to date.

As of today you can choose to download a free tech demo, or for those interested in the project, there is an option to purchase access to the alpha of "Drive" for only €11.50.

Alpha Features:

    Soft-body physics sandbox
    5 detailed, customizable, destructible vehicles
6 terrains to explore and drive across
Frequent free updates adding terrains, vehicles, features, gameplay, and bug fixes
Full modding and content creation capabilities - make maps and vehicles, and script gameplay
Use the built-in terrain editor and any 3D modeling, image editing, and text editing software
Your purchase of BeamNG DRIVE Alpha Access grants you a serial key with which you can download the game and update it to the latest version.
Online authentication is only necessary to update; the game itself does not need an internet connection to run.
You are guaranteed free updates to BeamNG DRIVE for all future versions.
You also get exclusive access to a section of the forum where you can talk directly to the devs and report bugs, suggest features, etc.

Music is Sprignum by our vehicle artist Gabester - Graphics engine is Torque3D by GarageGames

Please note that this is still an alpha. It is very unfinished, and we are constantly fixing bugs and adding new features. Since this video was recorded and put together we've already fixed the bugs you may have noticed involving the breaking glass and lights.

BeamNG is a young start up company developing a state of the art real time physics simulation engine. We are currently a team of two programmers and two artists that founded the company in 2011.

Their mission to have realistic, accurate, destructible and malleable physics everywhere.
Their main focus is on how things move rather than how things look on the screen. BeamNG aim to bring their expertise in real time soft-body physics and soft-body physics model design to the forefront of game physics simulation, making available the technology and know-how to as a wide an audience as possible.

To achieve this, they are designing the engine and corresponding assets, so as to be independent of the underlying game engine and Operating System.
Right now the physics engine is running on a multicore CPU configuration, but they are also in the process of supporting GPUs via OpenCL.
