Server de testes - Sector3

Boas malta, como sabem a Sector3 implementou um server de testes de maneira a tentar descobrir/resolver o problema dos carros que desaparecem e a lag do inicio das corridas.

Para testarem teem que instalar uma aplicação Beta que vai recebendo certos patches para testes e testar no server por eles definido.
Deixo aqui o link principal dessa situação assim como a informação para o server de testes.

È IMPORTANTE, segundo eles, que quem teve já algum tipo de problema que use o server no modo BETA para ficarem gravados os logs de quem tem problemas... As corridas são de curta duração , que é para puderem testar o maior nº de situações.

Como instalar a BETA e infos sobre o server de testes:

"Ok we have prepared a new exe (301 MB) that has 2 potential fixes for this issue. We want to test it a bit before releasing so we need you (players who know have this disappearance problem) to join and see if anything is improved.

The build is in a separate branch in RaceRoom Racing Experience on Steam. To access it:
- Right click on RaceRoom Racing Experience and click Properties in your Steam Library.
- Select the "BETAS" tab.
- In the empty field, enter the following code "bn3JLxApLBvk" and click "Check Code".
- This should unlock a "beta" branch which you can select on the dropdown above the field.
- Select Beta from the dropdown and close the properties window.
- This will download a 301 MB update.

Once you have this build you should join the following server as this is a modified one with the serverside fixes.
Server name: 11RR Test
Password: mptest

Please don't join with normal LIVE build.

Please let us know if you are experiencing any improvements or different issues by replying here.

Please keep in mind this is not for racing. The sessions are very short on purpose as the issue mainly occurs on race session beginning. this is purely for testing the cars disappearing issue and potentially other side effects we might experience during the start phase in race sessions.

One side effect you might see is cars disappearing during the countdown phase while the lights are up.

Edit: In case it's not clear, if/when you want to go back to normal LIVE build you have to opt out by choosing "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs" from Properties."



Se gostam deste simulador tanto como eu e já investiram bastante dinheiro, era importante o máximo de pessoas entrar no server e correr, para tentarem resolver este grave problema e pudermos fazer corridas a sério tal como estes simulador merece.

NOTA : depois de instalarem o BETA teem que reiniciar o STEAM senão ao entrar ele vai dar um erro.

Para reverter para o RR normal , teem que ir ao mesmo sitio das propriedades, BETA e desselecionar a BETA .

edit: Fiz agora uma corrida com o Velosa, visto que ele esteve as 2 corridas a piscar nos inicios, e no server BETa ninguem piscou nenhuma vez, e sempre com ping estável.

Não vou comunicar isso á Sector 3 visto que eramos só 2 no server. Sei que eles colocaram novo patch ás 20 h de hoje e nao vi ninguem a comentar como correu.
Por isso é necessário o pessoal correr nesse server.  5 m, pratice, 5 m qualify e 3m corrida.

Eu não terei tempo de testar isto, contudo parece-me bem que estejam a tentar resolver isto o quanto antes. Espero mesmo que consigam resolver até ao final do ano...

"Hi again,

We will disable p2p altogether for the time being as the problem is with that.

After some sanity checks we will patch the game for everyone within a few hours. Breaking our own rules by pushing on a Friday but this is ruining the driving experience so we'll go for it.

Keep in mind though gents there are some other known issues so you still might experience DQ's and reverse grid issues. Those we'll solve next week with another hotfix patch. Workaround to avoid those problems for now is to turn them off. Reverse grid off and flag rules off are the only workarounds for the time being.

So no testing needed for the moment. I'd like to thank everyone who participated and provided information. While we haven't really fixed the issue yet we now know that it is isolated to p2p between certain clients. But we can disable it and investigate further now."
