Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo – Dev Diary 1

The Italian Milestone Game Studio published the first Dev Diary of their upcoming Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo game.

In this first developer diary, Italian television presenter Dino Lanaro talks to Alex Zucca, Milestone’s Lead Game Designer. Alex is explaining how the idea for Milestone’s new IP came about. During the interview, we can have a sneak peek at some of the tracks and cars in development.

This is the first of a series of developer diaries that Milestone has planned. The original videos are in Italian, but dubbed with an English narration to make sure fans all over the world can enjoy the Dev diary’s. During the following weeks, Milestone will publish a diary with Sergio Rocco, who is the Lead Artist of the Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo game, and later on an interview with Mattia De Nadai, who is the Lead Programmer.

Career mode – Live the life of a rally driver and compete for a place on Sébastien Loeb’s team, where he will be your mentor and guide you through all the secrets of the sport.
Offline mode – Work on your skills and perfect your driving style for a truly rewarding experience.
Online modes – Challenge friends and rivals from all over the world for endless entertainment
Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo will be exclusively released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Milestone explained they are aiming for an Autum 2015 release. This would put the title head to head with the new WRC 5 release.

Já faziam era um excelente simulador de Rally para o PC para substituir o velhinho RBR.

Agora que temos vários simuladores novos para pista, estava na altura de alguém ser um pouco inteligente e fazer um de rally que ficava com a maioria do mercado, isto se fosse mesmo bom.

Back in January, Milestone revealed first previews of their upcoming rally title, Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo.

Back then, the word was that the new title would only be released as a console exclusive. There has been a change of heart at Milestone however as the upcoming rally title will not just be released for the Playstation 4 & Xbox One but also for the PC.

After losing the official World Rally Championship license to Kylotonn, Milestone is given more artistic freedom for the new title and the studio seems to be using it wisely as many aspects of the title do sound rather promising.

Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo will feature extensive offline- & online modes as well as a career mode. Players will be able to choose from a wide variety of cars from several decades of rally history that can be raced on 250 kilometers of GPS-based stages.

Furthermore, the title will not only feature WRC-style point to point rallying but also rally cross, a motorsport discipline rarely found in racing games.

Acho que prefiro esperar pelo DiRT 4. Não é simulador, mas tem sido a única série de jogos de rali decente. E costuma haver Rallycross, o que é sempre fixe. :D

Já está há tanto tempo em produção, que espero que saia algo porreiro. O DiRT 3 saiu em 2011, já se passaram quase 4 anos. Era de valor outro e a Codemasters está seguramente a trabalhar nele. Mas como parece que estão a desenvolver um novo motor de jogo, se calhar ainda vai demorar. Talvez só para o ano.

Milestone have released a new developer diary video of their Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo title.

Among other details, the video reveals Pikes Peak as part of the upcoming title. Furthermore, the studio has released three new previews, showing off the title’s terrain detail.

Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo will feature extensive offline- & online modes as well as a career mode. Players will be able to choose from a wide variety of cars from several decades of rally history that can be raced on 250 kilometers of GPS-based stages.
